센서스(Sensus)의 스마트 수도계량기 덕분에 캘리포니아 올리브하인(Olivenhain) 지자체 상수도국(OMWD)은 자사의 고객들이 물 보전 목적을 성취할 수 있도록 도울 수 있게 됐다. 상수도국은 고객들이 캘리포니아 주에서 지속되고 있는 가뭄에 맞서는 것을 돕기 위해 스마트 기술을 이용한 8천 미터 규모의 시범연구를 종료했다.

OMWD는 FlexNet 커뮤니케이션 시스템과 OMNI™ 상업계량기를 포함, 센서스 스마트 수도계량기를 이용해 자사의 인프라를 관리하고 있다.

 

 

 

Thanks to a smart water network from Sensus -- a clean technology company specializing in smart meters, software and services and communication systems -- the Olivenhain Municipal Water District (OMWD) of California is helping its customers achieve their water conservation goals. Likewise, the District has completed an 8,000-meter pilot study that is using smart technology to help customers fight the state's ongoing drought.

 

OMWD manages its infrastructure with a Sensus smart water network, including the FlexNet® communication system and OMNI™ commercial meters. Together, the technologies will help District customers monitor usage and leaks, thereby assisting OMWD in continuing to meet its state-mandated 32-percent reduction in water usage.

 

"Our customers want to do their part in combating the drought. With the Sensus smart water technology, we are able to provide customers with water consumption data in a more granular manner, down to the hour, which can be very helpful in terms of identifying high-usage activities and leaks," said Joey Randall, customer service manager, OMWD. "Together, we are managing this drought and preparing for the future."

 

The utility also offers free workshops and recycled water for landscaping. "We have ambitious water reduction goals that we can meet by identifying leaks and helping residents and businesses find areas where they can cut back on water use," said Randall.
