펜실베이니아 주지사 Tom Wolf는 최근 펜실베이니아 인프라 투자당국(PENNVEST)을 통해 8개 카우티 전역에 걸친 주요 식수·폐수 및 점오염원 프로젝트 10개에 대한 5천170만 달러의 투자를 발표했다.

Wolf 주지사는 “PENNVEST 이사회는 주 전역에 걸쳐 꼭 필요한 환경개선을 위해 또 다른 주요 투자를 했다”며 “풍부한 양의 깨끗한 물은 펜실베이니아 주민과 주 경제 모두의 건강성에 무척 중요하다”고 말했다.

 

 

 

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf recently announced the investment of $51.7 million for 10 critical drinking water, wastewater and non-point source projects across eight counties through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST).

 

"The PENNVEST Board of Directors made another significant investment in much-needed environmental improvement across the Commonwealth," said Wolf. "Abundant clean water is critical to the health of both our follow Pennsylvanians and the economy of this great Commonwealth."

 

The funding comes from a combination of state funds approved by voters, federal grants to PENNVEST from the Environmental Protection Agency and recycled loan repayments from previous funding awards. Funds for the projects are disbursed after bills for work are paid and receipts are submitted to PENNVEST.

Of the $51.7 million, $31.0 million is allocated for low-interest loans and $20.7 million is awarded through grants.
