고품질 유량계 시장에서의 지속적인 성장에 힘입어 엔드레스 하우저 플로우테크(Endress+Hauser Flowtec)는 최근 프랑스 알자스(Alsace)에 위치한 Cernay 플랜트를 확장시키고 그 지역에서 소용돌이 유량계(vortex flowmeter) 생산을 시작했다고 발표했다.

관리감독자인 Bernd-Josef Schafer는 “1만㎡의 생산부지를 늘림으로써 엔드레스 하우저는 장기적으로 Cernay 지역을 강화하고 있다”고 설명했다. 전자 유량계 생산과 최대길이가 2.4m에 달하는 측정관 사이즈로 인해 필요 면적은 계속해서 늘어나고 있다.

 

 

 

To take advantage of ongoing growth in the market for high-quality flowmeters, Endress+Hauser Flowtec, a global manufacturer of flowmeter technology, recently expanded its Cernay plant in Alsace, France, and has started producing vortex flowmeters in the region.

 

"By adding 10,000 square meters of production space, we are strengthening the Cernay location for the long haul," explained Managing Director Bernd-Josef Schafer.

 

The space requirements continue to increase for the production of electromagnetic flowmeters and their measuring tubes of up to 2.4 meters in size.

 

"This is why we have bought up an existing factory building right next to our site," said Schafer. "A total of 4.2 million euros ($4.59 million) has been invested in the purchase and renovation of that building and its 9,000 square meters of floor space."

 

A new building with nearly 1,000 square meters of space at a cost of 1.2 million euros ($1.31 million) was also needed to relieve the bottleneck from lack of space in the existing production line.

 

"This means we can now handle significantly higher part volume and design our production processes with greater autonomy and less dependence on other production processes," said Matthias Aschberger, plant manager.

 

The new building has been equipped with separate loading docks for delivery trucks to help with this. Work on the buildings finished on Friday, Oct. 23. The dedication ceremony for the new building and the extension was recently held in Cernay.
