GE는 알스톰(Alstom) 전력망(Power and Grid) 사업의 인수를 완료했다고 최근 발표했다. 이는 GE 사상 최대 규모의 산업 인수이다. 이번 거래의 성사는 미국뿐만 아니라 유럽연합(EU), 중국, 인도, 일본, 브라질 등을 포함한 20개 이상의 국가 및 지역에서 규제 당국의 승인을 받았다.

 

GE는 123억5천만 유로(약 135억7천만 달러) 규모의 전력망 사업 인수를 위해 2014년 알스톰과 합의에 도달했다. 2014년 6월 발표된 합작 투자에 대한 조정에는 △거래 구조의 변화 △구제에 대한 가격 조정 △통용을 포함한 현금의 지불 등이 포함되며, 구입가는 97억 유로(약 105억 달러) 규모이다.

 

 

 

GE recently announced that it has completed the acquisition of Alstom's power and grid businesses -- GE's largest-ever industrial acquisition. The completion of the transaction follows the regulatory approval of the deal in over 20 countries and regions including the U.S., as well as EU, China, India, Japan, and Brazil.

 

GE reached an agreement with Alstom in 2014 to purchase its power and grid businesses for €12.35 billion ($13.57 billion). Adjusting for the joint ventures announced in June 2014, changes in the deal structure, price adjustments for remedies, net cash at close, and including the effects of currency, the purchase price is €9.7 billion ($10.6 billion).

 

With the completion of its Alstom acquisition, GE Power & Water and Alstom Power have combined to form GE Power. Headquartered in Schenectady, N.Y., Steve Bolze will serve as president and CEO of the company, leading more than 65,000 employees in over 150 countries with estimated revenue of $30 billion.
