SUEZ extends drinking water/wastewater contracts in ¢æ30m deal
Guingamp Communaute has renewed its two public service contracts with SUEZ for drinking water and sanitation for a further eight years, worth ¢æ30 million.
Guingamp is a commune in the Cotes-d'Armor department in Brittany, northwestern France.
The key aims of this contract, which will commence in January 2016, will be the preservation of water resources and enhanced quality of service for local residents and businesses.
Last month SUEZ secured two new desalination and wastewater contracts in the Middle East.
Bernard Hamon, president of Guingamp Communaute, said: ¡°We have chosen to reaffirm our confidence in SUEZ given the quality of its services, and thus continue to build on this reliable partnership. In effect, this service provider offers innovative solutions for preserving water resources: new technologies for managing networks, the modernisation of our facilities, etc. These innovations also contribute to the general improvement of the service for local residents and businesses, through locally based customer relations and user information, etc.¡±
