수처리 기술 기업인 워터 플래닛(Water Planet)은 캘리포니아에 위치한 2개의 재활용 센터에 산업폐수처리 및 재사용 시스템을 공급하는 계약을 체결했다. 2곳의 센터는 하루 20Ml 규모의 원유·가스산업 생산수를 재활용할 수 있다.

관리서비스인 스위트워터 테크 리소시스(Sweetwater Tech Resources)는 베이커스필드 지역에 위치한 원유·가스 생산업체에 믿을만하고 경제적이며 지속가능한 선택을 주기 위해 워터 플래닛의 ‘IMS-5000’ 통합 생산수처리 시스템을 공급하기 위해 이 회사를 선정했다고 밝혔다.

 

 

 

Water treatment technology firm, Water Planet, has won a contact to provide industrial wastewater treatment and reuse systems for two recycling centres in California, USA that could recycle oil and gas industry produced water at nearly 20 Ml/d.

 

Management services Sweetwater Tech Resources (STR) selected Water Planet to supply its IMS- 5000 integrated produced water treatment system as part of a project to give oil and gas producers in the Bakersfiled region a reliable, economic and sustainable option for treating the billions of litres of oil-contaminated water generated they generate annually.

 

"We believe STR has a great vision, and we look forward to being part of the team that delivers this first-of-a-kind regional treatment facility," said Water Planet's chief executive officer, Eric Hoek.

 

Pilot scale demonstrations for oil and gas producers and potential customers of the treated water will begin in the first quarter of 2016. The planned facilities at sites in Wasco and Lost Hills will produce clean water for use by local industry and agriculture. At full capacity, the Wasco plant would recycle up to 3.2 Ml of produced water each day while the Lost HIlls facility would convert at 16 Ml/d.

 

Sweetwater's general manager, Dundee Kelbel, said: " STR's experience, established relationships and core business development capabilities blends well with Water Planet's innovative, creative and flexible engineered systems to provide a powerful solution to the oil and gas industry."

 

Water Planet's award-winning technology comprises a "unique" hydraulic design with a pre- integrated mechanical oil-water separator, ceramic ultrafiltration membranes and automated self-adaptive process controls.
