| American Water Work Company, Inc. Announces New Vice President of External Affairs

[VOORHEES, N.J.] American Water Works Company President and Chief Executive Officer, J. James Barr announced today that Ms. Lori Doyle has joined its subsidiary, American Water Works Service Company, as Vice President of External Affairs.
Ms. Doyle joins American Water Works Company with more than 18 years of professional public relations experience in both agency and corporate environments. For the last eight years, she has served as Chief Public Affairs Officer for the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
"Lori is an extremely valuable addition to our leadership team," said Mr. Barr. "Her expertise is exactly what we need to assist us as we maneuver American Water Works through what has become a rapid flow of change in our industry. As Vice President of External Affairs, Ms. Doyle will oversee all public affairs activities for the Company and its subsidiaries. She is a graduate of Temple University and holds a Masters in Communications Management from Ohio University.
