[쿠바] 가뭄 대비 첫 담수공장 사업 착수

극심한 가뭄에 시달린 쿠바가 다섯 개의 담수 공장을 지을 예정이다.

쿠바 수자원공사의 Ines Maria Chapman 사장에 따르면 쿠바 산티아고데쿠바(Santiago de Cuba) 지역에 하루당 약 2천160㎥을 생산하는 공장이 올해 들어선다.

이번에 들어서게 될 공장은 가뭄 대응책으로 제기된 다섯 개의 담수공장 중 첫 번째로, 산티아고데쿠바 지역은 물부족 문제가 극심한 지역 중 하나이다.

Cuba poised to commission first of five desal plants: reports

Drought-hit Cuba is to build five desalination plants, according to reports in several Vietnamese news outlets, including vietnambreakingnews.com.

The reports refer to comments made by Ines Maria Chapman, president of Cuba's National Institute of Water Resources, that a 2,160 m3/d plant in the city of Santiago de Cuba, will be commissioned this year.

The new plant is the first of five proposed in response to the drought that has gripped Cuba since late 2014, part of the El Nino weather phenomenon. The city of Santiago de Cuba is among the places hardest hit by the water shortages.
