[일본] Hitachi, 호주 오스모플로사, 자회사로 인수

열 및 멤브레인 기반의 담수화 시스템을 모두 제공하기 위해 일본의 히타치 조센 코퍼레이션(Hitach Zosen Corporation)이 호주의 오스모플로(Osmoflo)의 주요 지분을 획득할 예정이다.

이에 따라 절차가 완료되면 오스모플로는 히타치사의 자회사가 된다.

히타치와 오스모플로의 결합으로, 오스모플로의 역삼투(RO) 멤브레인 기술이 투입되면서 히타치는 다단증발법(MSF)의 설비 관리 차원의 기술이나 경험을 보다 확대할 것으로 기대된다.

두 회사 간 합의 하에 히타치는 오스모플로 홀딩스(Osmoflo Holdings)의 유통주식수의 약 70%를 획득할 것으로 기대된다.

Hitachi acquires Osmoflo to combine thermal/membrane desalination offering

In a bid to offer both thermal and membrane-based desalination to the market, Japanese company Hitachi Zosen Corporation will acquire the majority of shares of Australian firm, Osmoflo.
 
Subject to the completion of procedures, Osmoflo will become a subsidiary of Hitachi Zosen.

The coupling of the companies will enable Hitachi to augment its plant engineering technology and experience in multi-stage flash (MSF) with Osmoflo’s reverse osmosis (RO) membrane technology.

As part of the agreement, Hitachi will acquire 70% of the outstanding shares of Osmoflo Holdings, while the remaining 30% will continue to be held by Marubeni Water Australia.

Osmoflo generated net sales of AUD$142.7 million in 2015 but this dropped to AUD$80.5 million in 2016.
