| DeBenedictis appointed to state water committee
Nicholas DeBenedictis, the chairman and CEO of Philadelphia Suburban Corp., was appointed to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Statewide Water Resources Planning Committee.
The appointment, which was made by Gov. Edward G. Rendell, was announced Wednesday by PSC, which is based in Bryn Mawr. PSC is the largest publicly traded water utility based in the United States.
The committee, which has 18 members, will coordinate and oversee the development of the State Water Plan. In doing that, it will work with the state Department of Environmental Protection and six regional water resource commissioners the department named last month.
