영국의 사회기반시설부(Department for Infrastructure)는 에버모어 에너지(Evermore Energy)가 추진하는 벨파스트(Belfast) 가스복합화력발전소 프로젝트를 지난 3월 25일에 승인했다. 이 프로젝트는 지멘스의 가스터빈 기술을 사용한 480MW급 가스복합화력발전소를 북아일랜드의 벨파스트 항만단지에 건설하는 4억 달러(3억 파운드) 규모의 사업이다. 2019년 착공 2022년 상업운전을 목표로 하고 있다.
