[미국] 세라헬릭스 멤브레인, 포춘지 50개 회사 폐수 재사용에 선정

 

 

세리헬릭스사(Cerahelix Inc)의 세라믹 멤브레인이 포춘지(Fortune) 50대 개인 관리 제품 제조업체의 폐수 재사용을 위해 선택되었다.

Cerahelix의 필터는 1일 10만 갤런(GPD) 이상의 속도로 프랜트 폐수를 처리하는 단일 단계 처리 시스템으로 작동한다. 투과된 물과 농축물은 내부 및 외부에서 재사용되어 수자원을 절약하고 환경으로 배출되는 것을 제거하며 회사에 부가 가치를 제공한다.

 

Cerahelix의 CEO인 수산 멕케이(Susan MacKay)는 "우리의 멤브레인은 90% 이상의 회수율을 달성하고 화학적산소요구량(COD)을 95% 이상 감소시키는 이 시설에서 폐수를 처리하는 매우 효과적이지만 우아하게 간단한 방법을 제공할 것"이라고 말했다.

Cerahelix의 특허 프로세스는 DNA 템플레이트를 사용하여 물과 폐수를 여과하는 데 사용되는 기공을 형성하여 나노 크기의 여과에서 고순도의 미세 여과에 이르는 세라믹 멤브레인의 처리 응용 범위를 확장하기 위해 기공 크기를 제어한다.

 

2011년에 설립된 Cerahelix는 현재 특정 요구 사항을 충족시키기 위해 400 달톤(Daltons)에서 1200 달톤에 이르는 3가지 다른 분자 크기 절단 물로 만들 수 있는 상용 규모의 대형 필터 요소 제품을 판매하고 있다.

Cerahelix membranes to treat Fortune 50 company’s wastewater for reuse

 

 

A Fortune 50 personal care products manufacturer has selected Cerahelix Inc’s ceramic membranes to treat wastewater for reuse.

 

Cerahelix’s filters will operate as a single stage treatment system to treat plant wastewater at a rate of more than 100 000 gallons per day (GPD). The permeate and concentrate will be reused internally and externally, saving water resources, eliminating discharge into the environment, and providing added value to the company.

 

“Our membranes will provide an extremely effective yet elegantly simple way to treat wastewater at this facility, achieving 90% recovery and reducing chemical oxygen demand (COD) by over 95%,” said Susan MacKay, CEO of Maine-based Cerahelix.

 

Cerahelix’s patented process employs a DNA template to form the pores used to filter water and wastewater, controlling the pore size to extend the range of treatment applications for ceramic membranes from nanofiltration to high purity picofiltration.

 

Cerahelix, which was founded in 2011, currently markets a commercial scale, large format filter element product that can be made with three different molecular size cutoffs, ranging from 400 Daltons to 1200 Daltons, to meet specific needs.
