[스페인] 아벤고아, 모로코 탄탄 담수화플랜트 확장공사 수주

아벤고아, 아틀라스 에너지 컨소시엄 구성 모로코 ONEE로부터 따내

인프라, 에너지, 수자원 분야에서 지속가능한 발전을 위한 혁신적인 기술 솔루션을 적용하는 국제기업 아벤고아(Abengoa)는 30년 이상의 수자원 서비스 경험을 보유한 기업인 ATNER(아틀라스 에너지)와 컨소시엄을 이루어 모로코 ONEE(Office National de l' l' lectricite et de l' au potable)로부터 겔밈우에드눈(Guelmim-Oued Noun) 지역의 탄탄 담수화 플랜트(Tan-Tan desalination plant) 확장 공사를 수주했다.

이 프로젝트의 범위는 초당 50리터(L)의 유량에서 초당 150리터의 최종 유량으로 세브 라차(Sehb Lharcha) 탈염소의 확장을 포함한다. 이들 공사는 탄탄시의 급수 강화 프로젝트의 일환이다.

아벤고아(Abengoa)는 모로코에서 15년 이상 물 분야의 세계 기준 프로젝트를 개발하고 있으며, 아가디르 담수화 플랜트(Agadir desalination plant)는 하루 27만5천㎥의 용량을 갖추고 있으며, 식수와 관개를 함께 사용하도록 설계된 가장 큰 담수화 시설이다. 1만3천600ha의 표면적에 대한 관련 관개 네트워크를 가지고 있으며 하루에 40만㎥까지 확장할 수 있다.

모로코에서도 아벤고아는 에너지 분야에서의 경험을 살려 2010년 아인 베니 마타르(Ain Beni Mathar)에 세계 최초의 태양광·가스 하이브리드 발전소(472MW 규모)를 설립하는 등 선구적인 프로젝트를 수행하고 있다.

아벤고아는 국제 물 시장에서 인정받는 회사이다. 담수화 분야에서만 하루 280만㎥의 담수화 처리 능력을 갖추고 있으며, 실행 중인 포트폴리오가 완성되면 440만㎥로 증가할 예정이다.

권위 있는 전문지인 『엔지니어링 뉴스 레코드(Engineering News-Record ; ENR)』는 2021년 12월 순위에서 아벤고아를 담수화 프로젝트의 첫 번째 국제기업로 선정했다.

최근 프로젝트 중 아가디르(Agadir) 프로젝트 외에 아랍에미리트(UAE) 타윌라 전력 및 수력발전 단지(aweelah power and water generation complex)는 하루 90만9천㎥의 생산능력을 갖추고 현재 시작 단계에 있다.

또한 주목할 만한 것은 각각 용량이 60만㎥/일인 사우디아라비아에서 가장 큰 역삼투 담수화 플랜트 두 곳은 현재 건설 중인 주바일(Jubail) 3단계, 2021년에 시운전인 라비(Rabigh)담수화 플랜트 등이다.

또한 2019년에 완공된 25만㎥/일 슈아이바(Shuaibah) 담수화 플랜트와 2020년에 완공된 11만3천650㎥/일 살랄라(Salalah) 담수화 플랜트는 지난해 12월 국제담수화협회(IDA ; International Desalination Association)의 ‘MEED 2021 Awards’에서 올해의 프로젝트 부문 최우수상(최고의 공공-민간 파트너십상)을 받았다.

Abengoa awarded the contract to expand Tan-Tan desalination plant in Morocco

- Abengoa, international leader in reverse osmosis water treatment and desalination, continues to add references.

- The project was awarded by ONEE to the consortium formed by Abengoa and the local company ATNER (Atlas Energie) on February 11.

March 15th, 2022 - Abengoa, an international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainable development in the infrastructure, energy and water sectors, in consortium with ATNER (Atlas Energie), a company with more than three decades of experience in the service of water, has been awarded the contract for the expansion of the water treatment plant at the ONEE, has been awarded the contract for the extension of the Tan-Tan desalination plant in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region (Morocco) by the Office National de l'Electricite et de l'Eau potable (ONEE) of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The scope of the project includes the expansion of the Sehb Lharcha demineralization station, from a flow rate of 50 l/s to a final flow rate of 150 l/s. These works are part of an integral project to strengthen the water supply of the city of Tan-Tan.

Abengoa has been present in Morocco for more than 15 years developing world reference projects in the water sector, where the Agadir plant, with a capacity of 275,000 m3/day, is the largest desalination plant designed and conceived for combined use of drinking water and irrigation. It has an associated irrigation network for a surface area of 13,600 ha and can be extended to 400,000 m3/day.

In Morocco, Abengoa has shown its experience in the energy sector as well, executing pioneering projects such as the first solar-gas hybrid power plant in the world, located in Ain Beni Mathar (472 MW), inaugurated in 2010. 

Abengoa is a recognized company in the international water market. In the desalination sector alone, it has an installed capacity of 2.8 million m3/day of desalinated water, which will be increased to 4.4 million when the portfolio under execution is completed. 

The prestigious specialized magazine Engineering News-Record (ENR) awarded Abengoa the first international position in desalination projects in its December 2021 ranking.

Among its recent projects, in addition to the Agadir project, the Taweelah power and water generation complex in the United Arab Emirates, with a production capacity of 909,000 m3/day, is currently in the start-up phase.

 Also noteworthy are the two largest reverse osmosis desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, each with a capacity of 600,000 m3/d, Jubail 3A, under construction, and Rabigh, which will be commissioned in 2021. 

As well as the 250,000 m3/d Shuaibah desalination plant, completed in 2019, and the 113,650 m3/d Salalah desalination plant in Oman, completed in 2020, which received the top award in the project of the year category at the MEED 2021 Awards of the International Desalination Association (IDA) last December.
