영국의 모던워터(Modern Water)는 어드벤트 인바이로케어 테크놀러지(Advent Envirocare Technology)와 인도 전역의 폐수처리 플랜트에 대한 멤브레인 염분농축(AMBC, membrane brine concentration) 기술을 개발·상용화하는 협정문에 서명했다.

양사는 공동으로 자금을 조달하고 인도 내 운영 중인 폐수처리 현장 중 실증 테스트 플랜트를 효율적으로 사용해 2016년 말까지 테스트 준비를 완료하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.

 

 

 

British company Modern Water has signed an agreement with Advent Envirocare Technology Pvt. to develop and commercialise membrane brine concentration (AMBC) technology for wastewater treatment plants across India.

 

The two companies aim to jointly fund and deploy a pilot test plant at an operational wastewater treatment site in India, with testing set to be complete by the end of 2016.

 

One of the aims of the plot phase is to show a significant reduction in wastewater volume for subsequent brine crystalliser treatment at low operational cost compared to existing processes.

 

The need for brine concentration in certain industries has never been greater, with increased focus on waste minimisation, increased water recycling and requirements for zero liquid discharge (ZLD), Modern Water said.

 

The company hopes the technology development will achieve a capital and operating cost reduction on the brine concentration process.

 

Soham Mehta, managing director, Advent Envirocare Technology Pvt., said: “With the recent statutory development of implementing ZLD in water-intensive industries at a time when Advent Envirocare is executing some of the largest ZLD projects in India, the stage is set for this partnership to flourish.”
