[UAE] DEWA, 하타에 건설중인 수질정밀여과장치 절반 이상 완성

총 공사비 67억7천만원 규모로 하루 1만3천680㎥ 여과 가능

하타댐 물 정제 및 살균하여 송수 및 급배수 시스템 고장시에만 사용

아랍에미레이트(UAE)의 두바이 수전력청(DEWA ; Dubai Electricity and Water Authority)은 하타(Hatta)에 건설 중인 하루 300만 갤런의 MIGD(1만3천680㎥/일) 수질 정밀 여과 장치(Water Microfiltration Units) 공사가 57% 완료되었다고 7월 12일 밝혔다.

이 프로젝트는 올해 말까지 완료되는데, 이 장치는 하타댐(Hatta dam)의 물을 정제하고 살균하여 비상시에만 사용한다. 이 장치는 두바이에서 하타까지 송수 및 급배수 시스템에 고장 및 결함이 발생할 경우에 사용된다.

총 공사 비용은 1천900만 AED(약 67억7천만 원)이다. 완전 자동화 장치는 탄소 배출량이 적은 최신의 혁신적인 글로벌 기술과 지속 가능한 장비를 사용하여 높은 효율로 지속 가능하고 안전한 솔루션을 제공할 수 있다.

DEWA(두바이 수전력청)의 사이드 모하메드 알 타예르(HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer) 상무이사 겸 최고경영자(MD & CEO)는 “우리는 UAE의 부통령 겸 총리이자 두바이 통치자인 셰이크 모하메드 빈 라시드 알 막툼((Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum) 전 국왕의 비전과 지시에 따라  ‘에미레이트 물 보안 전략 2036(Emirates Water Security Strategy 2036)’을 달성하기 위한 지속 가능한 개발의 요건에 발맞춰 최첨단 인프라를 제공하고 있다“라고 말했다.

알 타예르 두바이 MD & CEO는 이어 “ ‘통합 수자원 관리 전략 2030(Dubai Integrated Water Resource Management Strategy 2030)’은 수자원을 개선하고 최첨단 기술과 혁신적인 솔루션을 사용하는 데 중점을 두고 있다”라면서 “DEWA는 최고 수준의 가용성, 신뢰성, 효율성 및 품질에 따라 서비스를 제공하기 위해 전기와 수도를 위한 최첨단 통합 인프라를 제공할 계획이다”라고 덧붙였다.

알 타예르 두바이 MD & CEO는 특히 “DEWA가 하타에서 시행하는 프로젝트는 하타 종합 개발 계획(Comprehensive Development Plan for Hatta)에 부합하는 것으로, 이 계획은 해당 지역의 지속 가능한 발전 기반을 공고히 하고 하타 지역 시민들과 방문객들에게 최고 수준의 서비스를 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이 계획은 또한 이 중요한 지역의 환경과 천연 자원을 고려하면서 개발 프로젝트를 설립하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다”라고 강조했다.

DEWA completes 57% construction of water microfiltration units in Hatta

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s construction of 3 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) Water Microfiltration Units in Hatta is 57% complete. 

The project will be completed by the end of this year. These units refine and sterilise the water of Hatta dam to use it only in emergencies. The units will be used in case of faults in water transmission and distribution networks from Dubai to Hatta.

The total cost is AED 19 million. The fully automated units can provide sustainable and safe solutions with high efficiency, using the latest innovative global technologies and sustainable equipment with low carbon emissions.

“We work within the framework of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure, keeping pace with the requirements of sustainable development to achieve the UAE Water Security Strategy 2036 aims to ensure sustainable access to water during both normal and emergency conditions." said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

The plan also aims to establish development projects, while considering the environment and natural resources in this vital area,” added Al Tayer.
