RD&I 투자 확대 및 재생 에너지 분야 디지털화 전략 강화 위해

악시오나 에너지아의 RD&I 및 디지털화 활동에 총 4300만 유로 사용

유럽투자은행(EIB ; European Investment Bank)은 스페인의 글로벌 엔지니어링회사인 악시오나(ACCIONA)에 1억1천만 유로의 융자를 승인했다. 악시오나는 RD&I에 대한 투자를 늘리고 주력 사업인 재생 에너지와 재생 인프라에서 디지털화 프로세스를 발전시키기 위한 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 개발할 수 있도록 지원하고 있다.

새로운 EIB 자금 조달은 악시오나의 청정에너지, 수처리 및 담수화를 위한 새로운 기술을 탐구할 수 있도록 할 뿐만 아니라 점점 더 지속 가능한 건설 자재 사용에 있어 혁신을 계속할 수 있도록 할 계획이다.

2024년까지 운영될 이 자금은 주로 마드리드(Madrid)에 위치한 그룹의 혁신 센터(인프라 및 디지털 트랜스포메이션용)에 적용된다. 악시오나 에너지아(ACCIONA Energia)의 나바라(Navarre), 익스트레마두라(Extremadura), 카스티야라만차(Castilla La Mancha) 등의 실험용 풍력발전소, 바르셀로나(Barcelona)의 수처리 혁신 센터에서 지역 경제 및 고용에 영향을 미쳤다.

총 융자 금액 1억1천만 유로(1천455억9천270만 원) 중 4천300만 유로(569억1천351만 원)는 악시오나 에너지아의 RD&I 및 디지털화 활동에 사용된다.

악시오나(ACCIONA)의 최고 재무 및 지속가능성 책임자(CFSO)인 호세 엔젤 테헤로(Jose Angel Tejero)는 “EIB의 지원은 우의 다양한 비즈니스 라인에 대한 지속 가능한 RD&I 투자와 관련하여 유럽에서 주도적인 역할을 하려는 악시오나의 약속을 강화하는 것”으로, “EIB는 수년간 우리를 지원해 왔다. 이는 RD&I 개발에 대한 악시오나의 약속과 EIB의 우선순위에 대한 긍정적 영향 전략의 일치를 모두 보여준다”라고 말했다.

Spain: EIB provides €110 million to boost ACCIONA’s RD&I and digitalization strategy

A total of €43 million will be used to fund ACCIONA Energia’s activities

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a €110 million loan to ACCIONA that will allow the company to keep developing various programmes to increase its investment in RD&I and advance the digitalization process in its main lines of business: renewable energy and regenerative infrastructure with a positive impact.

The new EIB financing will enable ACCIONA to explore new technologies for clean energy, water treatment and desalination, as well as to keep innovating in the use of increasingly sustainable construction materials.

The funding, which will run until 2024, will be applied mainly in the group's innovation centres located in Madrid (for Infrastructure and Digital Transformation); in ACCIONA Energia's experimental wind farms in Navarre, Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha, among others; and in its Innovation Center for Water Treatment in Barcelona, with the resulting impact on the local economy and employment.

€43 million from the total line of credit will go to ACCIONA Energia's RD&I and digitalization activities.

The company has been carbon neutral since 2016. ACCIONA recorded sales of €8.1 billion in 2021 and has a business presence in more than 60 countries.
