[프랑스] 낙시스트은행, 칠레 담수화시설 및 급수관 공사에 8억8천300만 달러 투자

하루 8만6천400㎥ 담수생산 규모의 아콩카과 담수화시설과 109km의 송수관 건설· 운영·유지보수 지원

프랑스의 나틱시스 기업 및 투자은행(Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, Natixis CIB)은 남미에 초점을 맞춘 선도적인 투자회사인 패트리아 인베스트먼트(Patria Investments, Patria)의 포트폴리오 회사(벤처캐피탈)가 소유한 인접한 물 자산 2개에 대해 8억8천300만 달러(약 1조1천815억 원)에 달하는 2개의 선순위 담보 금융을 성공적으로 마감했다.

자금 조달 자산은 칠레 발파라이소(Valparaiso) 및 메트로폴리타나(Metropolitana) 지역의 초당 1㎥(하루 8만6천400㎥) 담수생산 규모의 아콩카과 담수화 플랜트(Aconcagua desalination plant)와 109km 길이의 산 이시드로 퀼라필룬(San Isidro Quilapilun) 송수관으로 구성된다. 

나틱시스 투자은행(Natixis CIB)는 3개의 국제은행과 함께 공동 리드 주선기업(Joint Lead Arranger), 공동 주관사(Joint Bookrunner), 공동 연합대출(Joint Syndication Agent), 헤지 제공자(Hedge provider) 및 공동 녹색 대출 코디네이터(Co-Green Loan Coordinator) 역할을 수행했다.

이번 거래는 담수화 플랜트와 처리수 및 담수화된 물 운송을 위한 송수관의 개발, 건설, 운영 및 유지보수를 지원한다.

이 프로젝트는 이 지역 최초의 다층 담수화 플랜트이며 기후변화로 인한 칠레의 물부족 상황을 완화하여 산업 고객이 대륙성 물 사용을 줄이는 데 기여할 것을로 기대된다.

이번 거래는 나틱시스 투자은행의 친환경 및 지속 가능성 목표와 확고히 일치하며 나틱시스 투자은행의 지역 및 부문 전문성과 리더십을 강화한다.

나틱시스 투자은행(Natixis CIB)의 아이토르 알라바(Aitor Alava) 남미 인프라 및 에너지 금융 부문 전무이사 겸 책임자는 “나틱시스 투자은행은 지난 3년 동안 칠레에서 마감된 15건 이상의 거래를 포함하여 라틴 아메리카 지역에서 오랫동안 성공적인 금융 인프라를 보유하고 있다”고 강조했다.

패트리아 투자 인프라 그룹(Patria Investments Infrastructure Group)의 파트너인 호세 메스트레스(Jose Mestres)는 “이 이정표는 지역의 물 공급 문제에 대한 솔루션을 제공하고 프로젝트에 대한 투자 약속의 증거를 제공하려는 아구아스 파시피코(Aguas Pacifico)의 목표를 향한 또 다른 단계이다”라고 말했다.

메스트레스는 이어 “7년 기간을 통해 아구아스 파시피코는 부채 시장의 현재 변동성을 탐색하고 경쟁력 있는 가격으로 프로젝트 파이낸싱을 확보할 수 있다”라면서 “아구아스 파시피코와 패트리아는 이 비소구 시설에서 대표되는 세계적 수준의 금융기관과 협력하면서 프로젝트 자금을 확보한 것을 매우 자랑스럽게 생각한다”고 덧붙였다.

Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking acts as Joint Bookrunner and Joint Lead Arranger for $883 million financing of a desalinization plant and water pipeline sponsored by Patria Investments

Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (Natixis CIB) has successfully closed two senior secured financings amounting to $883 million for two adjacent water assets owned by portfolio companies of Patria Investments (Patria), a leading alternative investment firm focused on Latin America. 

The financed assets comprise the 1,000-l/s Aconcagua desalination plant and the 109-kilometer San Isidro Quilapilun water pipeline in the Valparaiso and Metropolitana regions of Chile. Natixis CIB acted alongside 3 international banks as Joint Lead Arranger, Joint Bookrunner, Joint Syndication Agent, Hedge provider and Co-Green Loan Coordinator.

The transactions support the development, construction, operation and maintenance of the desalination plant and pipeline for the transportation of treated and/or desalinated water. 

The Project is the first multiclient desalination plant in the region and will contribute to reduce usage of continental water by its industrial clients, mitigating the water scarcity situation in Chile due to climate change. 

This transaction is firmly aligned with Natixis CIB’s green and sustainability targets and reinforces Natixis CIB’s regional and sector expertise and leadership.
