대형 펌프 생산 능력 향상으로 미주 인프라 수요 충족

시간당 2만3천 입방미터 규모 유량 처리 가능…유압 테스트 인프라 보장

술저(Sulzer)는 3월 26일(현지시각) 멕시코 시티(Mexico City)에 있는 기존 펌프 시설과 함께 건설된 새로운 테스트·조립 센터의 공식 출범을 발표했다. 

새로운 최첨단 시설은 대형 펌프를 위한 10미터(m) 깊이의 유압 테스트베드(Deep Hydraulics Test Bed), 디지털 모니터링 시스템(Digital Monitoring System), 전용 패키징 구역(Dedicated Packaging Area) 등을 갖추고 있다. 이번 확장을 통해 슐저 멕시코의 펌프 시설은 다양한 대형 펌프의 생산 능력을 향상시켜 미주 인프라 수요 증가를 충족할 수 있다.

술저는 통합 서비스 위치에서 고성능 유량 장비의 테스트 및 조립을 수용하고 미국 전역에서 확산되고 있는 인프라 프로젝트를 지원하기 위해 멕시코 시티 대도시 지역인 쿠아우티틀란 이즈칼리(Cuautitlan Izcalli)에서 입지를 확장했다. 

새로운 시설의 테스트 센터는 시간당 2만3천 입방미터 규모의 유량을 처리할 수 있는 혁신적인 유압 테스트 인프라를 자랑한다. 이는 최대의 신뢰성과 효율성을 보장하기 위해 펌프 성능에 대한 엄격한 테스트 및 검증을 지원한다. 술저는 멕시코 시티의 유량 장비, 화학기술, 서비스 솔루션 등을 제공한다.

수잔 토마 집행위원장은 "최고의 산업 회사이자 서비스 제공업체가 되기 위해 노력하고 있다"며 "새로운 펌프 시설은 증가하는 고객 요구를 충족할 수 있는 더 나은 입지를 확보하고, 이번 투자는 혁신과 우수성, 고객 서비스에 대한 술저의 지속적인 노력을 보여준다"고 말했다.

클라우드 올리비아(Claude Ollivier) 전무이사는 "산업 내에서 효율성과 지속 가능성을 가능케 하고 최적화하는 데 매우 중요한 유량 장비 기술에 대한 오랜 역사를 가지고 있다"며 "술저의 품질을 신뢰할 수 있는 새로운 시설을 통해 고객을 만족시킬 것으로 기대한다"고 밝혔다.

Sulzer Inaugurates New High-Performance Pump Facility At Its Location In Mexico

Sulzer recently celebrated the official launch of a brand new test and assembly center built alongside its existing pump manufacturing facility in Mexico City. The new state-of-the-art facility features a 10-meter-deep hydraulics test bed for large pumps, a digital monitoring system and a dedicated packaging area. With this expansion, Sulzer Mexico’s pump facility enhances production capacity for its range of large pumps to help meet growing demand for infrastructure in the Americas.

Sulzer has expanded its footprint in Cuautitlan Izcalli, an area within metropolitan Mexico City, to accommodate testing and assembly of high-performance flow equipment from its integrated service location and better support the current proliferation of infrastructure projects across America. The new facility’s test center boasts innovative hydraulics test infrastructure capable of handling a flow rate of 23,000 cubic meters per hour (m³/h). This will support rigorous testing and validation of the pumps’ performance to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency. 

Sulzer offers flow equipment, chemtech and service solutions from Mexico City. Employees from all three corporate divisions, including Sulzer Executive Chairwoman Suzanne Thoma, joined esteemed customers, suppliers and special guest Yves Reymond, Deputy Head of Mission at the Swiss Embassy in Mexico, to celebrate the milestone launch. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, speeches and a facility tour, followed by an aperitif.
