[캐나다] NX필트레이션, 델코워터로부터 캐나다 원주민 수처리 프로젝트 수주

외딴 지역사회 위한 수처리 시스템 개선 및 확장 목적으로 수행

하루 처리용량 약 1천㎥…2024년 말 가동될 예정

캐나다의 수처리 솔루션 업계 선두주자인 델코 워터(Delco Water)는 캐나다의 새로운 정수처리시설에 중공사 나노여과막을 공급하기 위한 업체로 NX필트레이션(NX Filtration)을 선정했다고 밝혔다. 이는 NX필트레이션이 델코 워터를 통해 '직접' 나노여과(dNF) 막을 공급하는 두 번째 식수 프로젝트다.

이 프로젝트는 유기물 함량이 높은 호수에서 깨끗하고 신뢰할 수 있는 식수를 생산해 공급함으로써 외딴 지역사회를 위한 수처리 시스템을 개선하고 확장하려는 목적으로 수행된다. 이 프로젝트는 하루 약 1천㎥의 용량을 갖추게 되며, 2024년 말에 가동될 예정이다.

이 프로젝트는 퍼스트 네이션(First Nation) 지역사회의 깨끗한 상하수 및 빗물 인프라 개선을 위한 캐나다 투자 프로그램의 일환이다. 지난해 NX필트레이션은 앨버타주 미키슈 크리 퍼스트 네이션(Mikisew Cree First Nation) 지역사회를 위해 델코 워터를 통해 또 다른 식수 프로젝트에 나노여과 모듈을 공급했다.

마크 루이스(Mark Lewis) 델코 워터의 영업 이사는 “NX필트레이션과 함께 이러한 지표수 프로젝트를 지속적으로 진행하게 돼 기쁘다. 중공사 나노여과 기술은 화학적 소비와 환경적 영향을 줄이면서 간단한 한 단계의 여과 공정으로 호수에서 취수한 물을 효과적으로 식수로 만든다. 이는 총 소유 비용을 개선할 뿐 아니라 원격으로 시스템을 관리하고 지원하는 데도 매우 중요하다"고 설명했다.

NX Filtration receives order from Delco Water for First Nations water treatment project in Canada

Delco Water, a Canadian leader in water treatment solutions, selected NX Filtration to deliver its hollow fiber nanofiltration membranes for a new Water Treatment Plant in Canada. This is the second drinking water project for which NX Filtration delivers its “direct” nanofiltration (dNF) membranes through Delco Water.

The project seeks to upgrade and extend the water treatment system for a remote community, supplying clean and reliable drinking water produced from lake water with high organics. The project will have a capacity of approximately 1,000 cubic meters per day and is expected to be commissioned at the end of 2024.

The project is part of a Canadian investment program for clean drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure improvements in First Nation communities. Last year, NX Filtration supplied nanofiltration modules for another drinking water project through Delco Water for the Mikisew Cree First Nation community in Alberta.

Mark Lewis, Sales Director at Delco Water comments:
