앵글리안 워터(Anglian Water)는 원 얼라이언스(One Alliance)의 100만 파운드 투자 계획의 일환으로 리틀 빌링스(Little Bealings)에 거주하는 가구에 새로운 하수도 시스템을 설치할 예정이다.

이 프로젝트는 5월 안에 약 2km 규모의 새로운 하수관과 양수장 착공을 시작해, 2024년 가을까지 완공할 예정이다.

올해 앵글리안 워터는 파이프, 처리 센터, 고객 서비스 및 환경에 8억 7천 400만 파운드를 투자했다.

클로이 베일리(Chloe Bailey) 프로젝트의 고객 코디네이터는 “리를 빌링스의 주민들을 위해 이 프로젝트를 제공할 수 있게 돼 기쁘다” 며 “이 프로젝트는 그들이 하수처리를 단순화할 수 있게 할 뿐만 아니라 미래에 홍수와 오염으로부터 그 지역을 보호할 것”이라고 말했다.

5월 7일부터 작업 기간 동안에는 엔지니어 및 기타 도로 이용자의 안전을 위해 우회 경로가 마련될 예정이다.

Anglian Water installs first-time sewerage systems in Little Bealings

A £1 million investment scheme by Anglian Water’s @one Alliance is set to provide homes in Little Bealings with new sewerage systems which will give residents the opportunity to connect to mains sewerage for the first time.

The project will see almost 2km of brand-new sewer pipes and a new pumping station be installed this month and is expected to be completed in autumn 2024.

This scheme forms part of the company’s biggest ever programme of investment. Anglian Water cleans, supplies and treats a billion litres of water a day, and its piped laid end to end would stretch around the world three times – so keeping everything running smoothly is a huge challenge the company faces.

This year, the water company is investing £874 million in pipes, treatment centres, customer service and the environment.

Chloe Bailey Customer Co-ordinator for the project said: “We’re delighted to be able to deliver this project for the residents of Little Bealings. This will not only enable them to simplify their wastewater disposal, but it will also protect the area from flooding and pollutions in the future. We'd like to thank everyone for their patience while our teams are working in the area.”

Residents who have chosen to connect to the new sewer have been contacted by Anglian Water’s @one Alliance contact team.

Whilst this work takes place, engineers will do what they can to minimise disruption. A diversion route will be in place from 7 May for the duration of the works in order to keep engineers and other road users safe.
