국제담수화협회(IDA)는 현재 운영 중인 IDA Desalination Academy와 연계하여 RO 교육인증 프로그램 실행을 추진할 계획이다.
이는 교육전문기관인 DHP(David H. Paul Inc.)사와 합동으로 IDA Desalination Academy Reverse Osmosis Certification (IROC) 프로그램을 운영하는 것으로 24개의 credit 및 675시간의 인터넷 강의 프로그램으로 진행, 교육, 시험 및 평가 등이 모두 온라인으로 진행되므로 담수화 기술 교육을 받고자하는 전세계 모든 사람들에게 개방되어 진행된다.
이 프로그램은 언제든지 임의로 가입하여 강의를 들을 수 있으며 1년 내에 24개 credit을 모두 마스터해야 하는 조건이 있다.

IDA launches reverse-osmosis certification program
The International Desalination Association (IDA) is to launch a reverse‑osmosis training certificate associated with its recently launched IDA Desalination Academy.
IDA announced on 24 January 2013 that it reached a collaboration agreement with David H Paul Inc (DHP) to launch the IDA Desalination Academy Reverse Osmosis Certification (IROC) Program.
IROC is a 24-credit, 675-hour Internet-based training program that includes both knowledge-based and hands-on proficiency certification. The training and testing will be conducted online, bringing easy access to advanced desalination training for professionals around the globe.
The program may be entered at any time and is self-paced with the exception that participants must complete the 24 credits within a year from their entry date.
"IDA is very pleased to announce this strategic alliance with DHP, a recognized leader in advanced water treatment training programs for 25 years," said Leon Awerbuch, interim dean of the IDA Desalination Academy. "Not only does it enhance the range of courses offered by the IDA Desalination Academy, it also adds an important online learning component to our curriculum - one that benefits both the participant and the organization he or she represents."
David Paul, president of DHP commented, "A big problem in the water treatment industry is there are not enough highly trained people to fill the ever increasing need. Advanced water treatment is growing rapidly around the world, and water treatment professionals in every industry need in-depth training."

The IROC training program covers:

We want them to be inspired during the training so that, in addition to acquiring substantive technical information, they will be motivated to continue their professional growth, contribute to the industry, and excel."
The IDA Desalination Academy is a global institute for specialized training in desalination and a higher school for special study in this field.
