담수화 멤브레인 제조사인 NanoH2O사는 사우디 아라비아 2곳의 해수담수화 프로젝트 공급을 위한 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
첫 번째 프로젝트는 NanoH2O의 QuantumFlux RO 멤브레인을 이용하여 1만3천㎥/일 물량을 생산하는 플랜트 건설이며 두 번째 프로젝트는 동일한 멤브레인 모듈을 사용하여 1만5천㎥/일 물량을 생산하는 플랜트를 건설하는 프로젝트이다.

Two Saudi SWRO membrane contracts awarded to NanoH2O
Desalination membrane manufacturer NanoH2O Inc has won supply contracts for two seawater desalination projects in Saudi Arabia.
The first project, for phase II of the Jubail desalination plant, was awarded by Al Fatah Water & Power International. NanoH2O's QuantumFlux reverse-osmosis membranes will produce 13,000 m³/d of desalinated water.
The second project, a desalination plant to be designed by AES Arabia at the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology Research Park, will produce 15,000 m³/d of water.
Both installations are scheduled for 2014.
