[아르헨티나] 침수된 정유공장 탈수펌프로 복구

 

최근 아르헨티나의 La Plata시의 침수된 정유공장이 전문화된 Xylem의 탈수 펌프를 응용해 복구했다.

Xylem는 세계의 다루기 힘든 물 문제를 다루는데 주목하고, 엔세나다 정유회사의 계속적인 침수상태를 성공적으로 제거한 탈수 장비의 110만 주문을 보증하는 세계 물 기술 회사이다.

심한 뇌우로 시설은 불이 나고 펌프시설과 주변 길이 완전히 침수됐다. 시설을 운영하는 Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales (YPF)는 가능한 빨리 정유시설을 복구하기 위해 Xylem에게 침수 제거를 의뢰했다.

Xylem의 4개의 탈수 펌프는 정유회사의 총 20만8천 입방미터의 물을 제거했다. YPF는 침수 제거 후 미래의 침수 사태를 대비하기 위해 15개의 고성능 탈수 펌프는 구입했다.

 

A recently-flooded oil refinery outide the city of La Plata in Argentina has been restored thanks to the application of specialized dewatering pumps from Xylem.

Xylem (NYSE:XYL), a global water technology company focused on addressing the world's most challenging water issues, secured a $1.1-million order for the dewatering equipment after successfully removing the flood water at the state-run Ensenada oil refinery.

As a result of a severe electrical storm, the utility caught fire, and its pump station and surrounding pathways were completely flooded. Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales (YPF), which operates the facility, commissioned Xylem to remove the flood water in order to get the refinery back in operation as soon as possible.

Four of Xylem's Godwin dewatering pumps removed a total of 208,000 cubic meters of water from the refinery. Following removal of the water, YPF purchased 15 high-power Godwin dewatering pumps in order to be prepared for future flooding emergencies.

"The Ensenada plant is a significant facility with the capacity of refining 188,000 barrels of oil on a daily basis," said Gustavo Chaab, YPF refinery manager. "It is crucial that a plant of this size have the ability to restore plant operations quickly following an incident. The Godwin pumps that we purchased will ensure that we are fully prepared for such an event in the future."
