[캐나다] ConocoPhillips, Saltworks Technologies에 투자

캐나다의 담수화와 소금물 처리 회사인 Saltworks Technologies는 5월 23일 회사의 3번째 주주인 Conocophillips로부터 투자금을 받았다고 발표했다. Saltworks의 대표인 Ben Sparrow는 "Conocophillips의 투자를 통해서, Teck와 Cenovus는 관심있던 Saltworks의 상품과 기술을 실증했다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "우리 상품은 자원과 에너지 회사의 요구에 맞게 조정하고 열악한 환경에서 안전과 신뢰 할 수 있는 운영을 위해 설계되며 낮은 가격으로 최대 재생과 서비스와 발송을 쉽게 하기 위한 모듈 방식을 제공한다"고 설명했다.

Canadian desalination and brine treatment company Saltworks Technologies announced on 23 May 2014 that it had received investment funding from ConocoPhillips Company, Saltworks' third industrial shareholder.

"Through their investments, ConocoPhillips, Teck and Cenovus have demonstrated their interest in Saltworks' products and technologies," said Saltworks' CEO Ben Sparrow, who memorably brought a demo model of his then-new process to an International Desalination Congress in Dubai in 2009 in a suitcase.

"Our products align well with the needs of resource and energy companies, and are designed ground-up for safe and reliable operation in severe environments, providing maximum recovery at a low cost, and modularity for ease of service and dispatch," said Sparrow.

In 2010, ConocoPhillips launched the Global Water Sustainability Center in Doha, Qatar, to study technology related to produced water and desalination.
