Tunisia desalination project completes feasibility check
Tunisia's National Water Company has completed a feasibility study for a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant to be located at Zaarat, near Tunis. The plant will be constructed in two 50,000 m©ø/d phases.
The first tranche of capacity is scheduled for startup in mid-2017. The second is planned for completion in 2025-2026 and will be tendered separately.
The African Development Bank provided US$ 2 million to finance the project's advisory phase.
