담수 행산 및 수질 모니터링 기술 소유주인 Modern Water가 미국 최초로 Microtox® 기술을 사용하는 최신 지속적 독성 모니터(CTM)를 런칭했다.
첫 장비는 펜실베니아주에 위치한 Aqua America의 수처리 플랜트 중 하나에 설치됐으며, 현재 현장 중 한 곳의 취수 수원에서 Microtox CTM의 파일럿 테스트 중에 있다.

Modern Water installs nation's first-of-its-kind continuous toxicity monitor
Modern Water plc (AIM:MWG), owner of water technologies for the production of freshwater and monitoring of water quality, has launched an updated continuous toxicity monitor (CTM) using its Microtox® technology -- the first of its kind in the United States.
The first unit was installed just after its launch at one of Aqua America's water treatment plants in the state of Pennsylvania. It is currently pilot testing the Microtox CTM at the source water intake at one of its sites.
The Microtox CTM has truly continuous monitoring. It is a site-based, broad-range monitor that continuously measures the chemical toxicity of several thousand chemicals in any water source and is able to provide an instant indication of the water quality.
The unit will protect water by providing an early warning of any deliberate or accidental contamination events. Additionally, the Microtox can be configured for wastewater and other drinking water applications.
Microtox requires a low level of skill for both operation and maintenance and has a four-week autonomous operating cycle.
