사우디아라비아의 SWCC(Saline Water Conversion Corporation)가 자문업체로 Black & Veatch를 선정했다. Black & Veatch는 사우디 왕국에서 두 번째로 큰 도시인 Jeddah의 주요 담수화 프로젝트에 기술 및 설계 자문을 제공할 예정이다.

400Ml/d 규모의 Jeddah 4 역삼투 프로젝트는 도시의 500만 명 인구를 위한 수자원을 증가시킬 것으로 기대된다. 이 프로젝트가 완공되면 Jeddah 4는 사우디에서 가장 큰 담수화 플랜트 중 하나가 된다.

 

 

 

Saudi Arabia's Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has awarded consultancy, Black & Veatch, the engineering and design contract for a major desalination project that will supply the kingdom's second largest city, Jeddah. 4 project. 

 

The 400 Ml/d Jeddah 4 reverse osmosis (RO) project will increase water resources for the city's 5 million people. When completed, Jeddah 4 will be among Saudi Arabia's largest desalination plants.

 

"An augmented water supply is central to the prosperity and continued development of Jeddah," said Middle East managing director at Black & Veatch, Mazen Alami.

 

Jeddah 4 will be tendered on an engineer, procure, construct basis. Black & Veatch will be responsible for studies of site and adjacent sea conditions, conceptual process and engineering design, and preparation of tender documents. In addition Black & Veatch will support SWCC during the tendering and award of the EPC contract.

 

Black & Veatch has worked with SWCC since 1993, notably on the Shoaibah to Jeddah Water Transmission System.
