Albuquerque Water upgrades mobile workforce management solution
Today, Clevest Solutions Inc., a provider of mobile workforce automation software and services, announced that it has deployed release 5.1 of its integrated Mobile Workforce Management (MWFM) solution for Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (ABCWUA), the largest water utility in New Mexico.
The solution will be used to efficiently deliver field services to approximately 200,000 customers across the municipal utility's water and wastewater operations. ABCWUA will use Clevest MWFM for several order types -- including locates, inspections, meter exchanges, collections, and meter services -- generated from the utility's Oracle CC&B system, as well as orders created out of its Maximo asset management system.
In addition, ABCWUA intends to use the same Clevest system for its mass meter installations, ongoing meter maintenance and other field service order work. "[ABCWUA] chose Clevest for [its] switch from paper-based orders to automated workforce management, because our integrated MWFM solution will provide operational cost savings, significant improvements in data integrity, and improved customer satisfaction," said Charles Parsons, VP Sales North America, Clevest.
Juaquin Zamora, AMI System Specialist, ABCWUA, added, "Once we decided to eliminate our paper-based service order environment, we conducted a selection process to find an automated solution that would be integrated with our customer information (CIS) and enterprise asset management (EAM) systems.
"We selected Clevest MWFM because it is unlimited with respect to the number and types of back-end systems it can integrate with, and because of Clevest's Genesis configuration technology," he continued. "We estimate that we will eliminate 600,000 unnecessary miles driven each year by improving worker scheduling and optimizing driving routes."
