유량 계측 솔루션 설계 및 제조업체인 프라이머리 플로우 시그널(Primary Flow Signal, PFS)이 최근 해수·강물 담수화 및 역삼투 공정에 사용하기 위한 다양한 재료와 설계를 포함한 광범위한 벤추리 계량기(Venturi meter)를 제공했다고 발표했다.

지난 33년간 PFS는 담수화와 RO 공정을 목표로 하는 전 세계 시설에 벤추리 계량기 솔루션을 제공해 왔다. 온도 및 압력 범위 등 작동 환경을 신중하게 분석함으로써 각각의 독특한 환경에 사용될 수 있는 최고의 설계 재료를 제공할 수 있었다는 것이 회사의 설명이다.

 

 

 

Primary Flow Signal (PFS), a designer and manufacturer of durable and accurate flow-metering solutions, recently announced that it has provided a wide range of Venturi meters with varying materials and designs for use in sea and river water desalination and reverse osmosis (RO) processes.

 

For the past 33 years, PFS has delivered Venturi meter solutions to facilities around the world to aid in the desalination and RO process. By carefully analyzing operating conditions such as temperature and pressure ranges, the company is able to provide recommendations on the best design material to be used for each set of unique conditions.

 

The PFS-modified, short-form Venturi meter (model HVT) has a 25-year warranty and lasts 100 years or more with appropriate material selection. They are ideally suited for applications that require +/-0.25% accuracy, have short to no upstream straight pipe and that can be easily field verified.

 

"It's critical to examine the environment where the meter will be used before determining the best design material." said Bruce Briggs, PFS president. "For example, fiberglass is a very effective, long-life-expectancy material as long as it is not subject to excessive sunlight exposure, while Monel provides maximum long-term performance under a wide variety of application conditions, including full sunlight exposure and sodium concentration."
