앤드류 쿠오모(Andrew Cuomo) 뉴욕주지사는 뉴욕주 전역에 걸쳐 7개의 필수 환경개선프로젝트를 지원하기 위해 총 2천630만 달러의 양여금 및 무이자 대출을 제공하겠다고 발표했다.

쿠오모 주지사는 “오늘날 우리는 계속해서 주 전역에 걸쳐 지역 인프라를 재활성화시키고 지자체를 개선시키고 있다”면서 “이번 프로그램은 주 전역의 지역정부를 지원하기 위해 중요한 인프라 프로젝트를 진전시킬 것으로 기대되며 향후 이러한 작업이 진행될 것으로 고대한다”고 말했다.

한편 기금은 650만 달러의 양여금과 1천980만 달러의 무이자 대출로 구성된다.

 

 

 

Governor Andrew Cuomo (N.Y.) announced $26.3 million in grants and interest-free loans to support seven vital environmental improvement projects across the state.

 

"Today we are continuing to revitalize local infrastructure and improve communities across the state," said Governor Cuomo. "This program helps to advance important infrastructure projects in order to support local governments statewide, and I look forward to seeing the work get underway."

 

The funding consists of $6.5 million in grants, part of $75 million recently awarded by Governor Cuomo for 45 statewide drinking water and wastewater infrastructure improvements, and $19.8 million in no-interest loans, which were approved by the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation’s Board of Directors.

 

In addition to this funding, Governor Cuomo's 2016 Executive Budget proposal includes a total of $250 million in additional grant funding to support drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the state, with half to be distributed to municipalities this year and the remaining half in 2017.
