상하수 및 재이용 분야의 선두기업인 RWL Water와 상업용 가스 및 설비기술 전문 글로벌 공급업체인 프렉스에어(Praxair)는 지난 3월 7일 폐수처리에 순수 산소를 공급하는 제품과 시스템의 영업 및 판매에 대한 합작 마케팅 협정을 발표했다.

RWL Water는 담수화, 폐수 호기화(aeration) 및 처리, 폐수에너지, 산업용·지자체용수 재사용 등의 부문을 보완하고, 프렉스에어는 산업용 가스 및 기술의 공급을 담당한다. 이번 두 기업의 결합은 지자체 및 산업체들에 용량 향상, 슬러지 발생량 저감, 저에너지 소비, 영양분 제거 향상 등의 여러 이점을 가져다 줄 것으로 기대된다.

RWL Water’s expertise in desalination, wastewater aeration and treatment, waste-to-energy, and recovery and reuse for industries and municipalities complements Praxair’s recognized ability to reliably supply industrial gases and technology. The combined offerings will provide several benefits to municipalities and industries including increased capacity, reduced sludge volume, lower energy consumption and improved nutrient removal.
