Hompson Pipe Group가 제작한 FLOWTITE™ fiberglass pipe (FRP) 화학적으로 열악한 조건에서 저항 능력을 검증했다. 또한, 오랜 시간 부식제의 노출을 통해 하수도에 사용되는 물질의 물질적 특성을 실험하는 로스엔젤레스의 pickle jar 시험을 통과했다.

pickle jar 시험의 한 부분으로 FLOWTITE™ 은 9개의 다른 공격적인 화학 물질에 3개월 이상 노출됐다. 노출 112일 후에 무게와 경도계 경도, 축 신장성 강도를 비교했다.

Greenbook은 1967년에 초기 출시되었고 국가 프로젝트를 위해 전문적인 필요조건을 제공했다. 최근 200여개의 도시와 나라, 기관에 국가 건설 설명을 위한 기준으로 채택했다. 또한 기관이 신뢰할 수 있는 정보를 제공했다.

Demonstrating its ability to withstand chemically-harsh conditions, the FLOWTITE™ fiberglass pipe (FRP), manufactured by Thompson Pipe Group, passed the city of Los Angeles's pickle jar test, which examines the physical properties of materials used in sewers through the long-term exposure to corrosive agents.

Products must pass the applicable tests listed in the reference guide, "Greenbook: Standard Plans for Public Works Construction," in order to be specified for jobs in the city and county of Los Angeles. The pickle jar test was conducted by RamTech, an independent laboratory sanctioned by the city, and provides third-party confirmation that FLOWTITE™ can withstand harsh sewer conditions.

As part of the pickle jar test, FLOWTITE™ was exposed to nine different aggressive chemical solutions for more than three months. The test compares the weight, durometer hardness and the axial tensile strength after 112 days of exposure.

The Greenbook, originally published in 1967, is designed to provide specification requirements for public works projects. Currently, more than 200 cities, counties and agencies have adopted it as the standard for public work construction specifications. The Greenbook makes it possible for organizations to receive reliable, trusted data without having to fund their own independent tests.
