Toshiba launches IoT application for wastewater treatment facilities
The new IoT application, which harnesses the power of real-world machine data, enables remote monitoring and improved operational efficiency for these facilities.
It will also allow for the modernisation and optimistion of water and wastewater treatment operations to meet growing production demands and compliance and reporting requirements that are stricter.
The solution, which will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, will deliver essential remote monitoring, visualisation, analytics and data collection capabilities.
Toshiba IoT application can be quickly and easily deployed and empowers operators to connect various devices to improve processes and reduce costs.
Toshiba America Business Development and Marketing vice-president Terry Cronin said: ¡°This solution fills an important technology gap for many overburdened water and wastewater treatment facilities?helping them make the leap into IoT technology very quickly with relatively low cost and easy implementation.

With the new Toshiba IoT application, water treatment plants can connect equipment and shift process data and applications to the cloud through sensors, adapters and create smart, connected facilities and drive near real-time visualisation and optimisation.
Once deployed, the software enables operators to gain facility-wide visibility quickly by the way of remote monitoring.
This will enable them to detect issues before they become problems, boost productivity, and minimise costly downtime.
