RWL Water to supply advanced water treatment for Chile power plant
STX Heavy Industries, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) total solution provider, has selected RWL Water, a global water solutions provider, to supply water treatment for a flue gas desulfurization (FGD) project at the ENDESA C.E.L.T.A. power plant in the city of Tarapaca, Chile.
The new treatment plant will provide 2,400 cubic meters per day of high-quality desalinated process water.
The project design includes ultrafiltration (UF) membranes as pre-treatment and a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination system, which will consist of two trains of desalination, energy recovery devices, pumps, and instrumentation to ensure maximum reliability and all associated ancillary systems.
RWL Water and its local agent in Chile SIMTECH were selected by STX out of four potential suppliers and were approved by ENDESA.
