세계적인 물기술 회사인 자일럼(Xylem)은 에너지, 마모, 인열 및 유지관리 비용을 획기적으로 절감하는 획기적인 탈수펌프인 'Flygt Biboα'를 6월 21일 발표했다.

자일럼(Xylem)의 스마트 솔루션 제품군(portfolio of smart solutions)에 최근 추가된 '플라이그트 비보 알파(Flygt Biboα)'는 산업용 탈수기능에 내장된 인텔리전스(Intelligence)를 도입하여 배수작업을 혁신하고 차세대 스마트 펌프(smart pump)를 개척할 예정이다.

디시전 인텔러전스(Decision Intelligence)를 적용하면 'Flygt Biboα'는 환경에 자동으로 적응하고 필요할 때만 작동하므로 기존 탈수 펌프와 비교할 때 최대 60%의 에너지를 절약할 수 있다.

마찰 소음과 드라이 런닝(dry running)이 최소화됨에 따라 운영상의 마모도 최대 70%까지 줄어들어 수리 및 유지관리 비용을 최대 50% 절감할 수 있다.

또한  'Flygt Biboα'는 독특하고 컴팩트하며 안정적인 설계로 인해 30% 적은 구성요소로 기존의 탈수펌프 틀을 깨고 필요한 재고량을 줄였다.

새로운 탈수 솔루션인 'Flygt Bibo α'는 통합 인텔리전스를 사용하여 수리 및 유지관리 비용을 최대 50% 절감할 수 있다.

'Flygt Biboα'는 애플리케이션 및 작동환경에 따라 쉽게 상호 교환할 수 있는 두 가지 실행 모드를 제공하는 최첨단 기능을 갖추고 있다.

적응모드(Adaptive mode)는 일반적으로 펌프의 저수위를 일정하게 유지해야 할 때 사용된다. 펌프는 유입 후 속도를 조절하지만 작동을 멈추지 않는다. 마찰소음이 감지되면 펌프는 마모를 줄이기 위해 속도를 낮추지만, 물이 펌프로 다시 유입되면 수위가 다시 낮아질 때까지 속도가 증가한다.

펌프를 계속 작동시키면 추가 센서가 필요하지 않는다. 유입되는 물은 펌프가 작동하도록 트리거하므로 현장의 변경 가능한 조건에 항상 대응할 수 있다.

레벨 모드는 미리 설정된 두 가지 레벨, 즉 수위를 감지하기 위해 내장된 압력 센서를 통해 제어되는 시작 레벨과 펌프가 코골이를 감지하면 트리거되는 정지 레벨로 구성된다. 펌프는 예를 들어 물이 설정 레벨 이상일 때만 작동하므로 효율을 최적화하고 에너지 소비와 작동 마모를 모두 줄여준다.

자일럼(Xylem)의 유명한 하·폐수 펌프인 '플라이그트 컨서터(Flygt Concertor)'와 동일한 통합 전력전자장치 및 시스템 플랫폼에 구축된 새로운 'Flygt Biboα'는 정적인 곡선 대신 현장의 속도와 성능에 자동으로 적응하므로 소형 8kW 펌프가 QH 성능을 제공할 수 있다. 이는 2kW 표준 펌프 범위, 최대 10kW 표준 펌프 범위에 해당한다.

현재 시판되고 있는 가장 견고하고 안정적인 펌프 중 하나인 'Flygt Biboα'는 기존의 탈수 펌프보다 최대 4배 긴 수명을 가지고 있다.

'Flygt Biboα'의 출시는 유럽에서 가장 깊은 광산 중 하나인 스웨덴의 렌스트뢰름(Renstrom) 광산에서 엄격한 현장 테스트를 거쳤다. 광산운영회사인 뉴 볼리덴(New Boliden)과 3년 동안 지속적으로 협력하고 테스트한 후 'Flygt Biboα'는 제품 및 수리비용을 40% 절감했으며, 탈수공정 비용을 거의 30 % 절감했다.

뉴 볼리덴(New Boliden)의 수석 개발 엔지니어인 마츠 이삭슨(Mats Isakson)은 파트너십에 대해 "자일럼(Xylem)의 'Flygt Biboα'는 뉴 볼리덴(New Boliden)이 현장의 상황 변화에 따라 실시간으로 환경에 적응할 수 있는 펌프 시스템에 액세스할 수 있도록 했다"라면서 "물 제거에 대한 이러한 새로운 접근 방식은 운영을 혁신하여 채굴 프로세스를 중단 없이 지속할 수 있게 되었다"라고 말했다.

'Flygt Biboα'는 현재 네덜란드, 핀란드, 프랑스, 독일, 이탈리아, 폴란드, 포르투갈, 러시아, 스페인, 스웨덴 및 아프리카에서 구입하거나 대여할 수 있다. 이 펌프는 올해 말에 전 세계 고객에게 제공될 예정이다.

Xylem Breakthrough Achieves Up To 60% Energy Savings In Industrial Dewatering

 

 

Global water technology company, Xylem has today unveiled Flygt Biboα ? a breakthrough dewatering pump that dramatically reduces energy, wear and tear, and maintenance costs.

As the latest addition to Xylem’s portfolio of smart solutions, Flygt Biboα is set to revolutionize drainage operations and pioneer the next generation of smart pumps by bringing built-in intelligence to industrial dewatering.

Applying Decision Intelligence, Flygt Biboα automatically adapts to its environment and only operates when needed, delivering energy savings of up to 60 percent when compared to traditional dewatering pumps.

Operational wear and tear is also reduced by up to 70 percent as instances of snoring and dry running are minimized, leading to as much as a 50 percent reduction in repair and maintenance costs.

Additionally, due to its unique, compact and stable design, Biboα breaks the mould of traditional dewatering pumps with 30 percent fewer components, reducing the amount of inventory needed[1].

Flygt Biboα has cutting-edge capabilities, offering two different running modes which can be easily interchanged depending on the application and operating environment.

Adaptive mode is typically used when there is a requirement to maintain a constant low water level in the sump ? the pump will never stop running, though it will regulate its speed after inflow.

If snoring is detected, the pump will slow down to reduce wear, but when water re-enters the sump, the pump will increase its speed until the water level is low again.

By letting the pump run continuously, there is no need for any additional sensor. The incoming water triggers the pump to run, so it will always be ready to respond to changeable conditions in the field.

Level mode consists of two pre-set levels, a start level that is controlled with a built-in-pressure sensor to detect water levels, and a stop level that is triggered when the pump detects snoring.

As the pump only operates when needed, for example, when water is above the set level, it optimizes efficiency and reduces both energy consumption and operational wear.

Built on the same integrated power electronics and systems platform as Xylem’s renowned wastewater pump, Flygt Concertor, the new Flygt Biboα automatically adapts to the speed and performance in a field instead of a static curve, meaning that the compact 8kW pump can deliver QH-performance that spans the range of a 2kW standard pump, right up to a 10kW standard pump.

As one of the most robust and reliable pumps now on the market, Flygt Biboα has a life-span that is up to four times longer than traditional dewatering pumps.

The launch of Flygt Biboα follows rigorous field testing at the Renstrom mine in Sweden, one of Europe’s deepest mines. After three years of continuous collaboration and testing with mine operator New Boliden, Flygt Biboα has delivered product and repair savings of 40 percent, and New Boliden has reduced the cost of its dewatering processes by almost 30 percent.

Commenting on the partnership, Mats Isaksson, Senior Development Engineer at New Boliden said, “Xylem’s Flygt Biboα has provided New Boliden with access to a pumping system that can automatically adapt to its environment, accommodating in real-time as conditions change in the field."

Flygt Biboα is now available for purchase or rent in the Netherlands, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Africa. The pump is expected to be available to customers globally later this year.
