[미국] 뮬러, 플로리다 페이스 워터 시스템에 스마트 고객 IoT 제품 도입

뮬로 시스템(Mueller Systems)은 미국 플로리다 산타 로사 카운티에 위치한 페이스 워터 시스템(Pace Water System)에 수도 계량기 시스템의 파일럿 프로그램을 도입했다고 지난 24일 밝혔다. 현재 시범 프로그램이 진행 중이며, 이달 말 시범 프로그램이 완료되면 350명의 고객에게 휴대 전화로 계량기를 제어할 수 있는 새로운 기능을 포함한 서비스를 제공한다.

데이먼 바우트웰(Damon Boutwell) 페이스 워터 시스템의 총책임자는 "우리는 네트워크상에서 볼 수 있는 것과 같은 레벨의 정보를 제공함으로써, 이 최첨단 테크놀로지를 활용할 수 있는 기회를 페이스 주민들에게 제공하게 되어 매우 기쁘다. 이용하는 주민들이 수도 사용량을 확인할 수 있기 때문에 소비량을 보다 잘 관리할 수 있고 누수나 배관이 터졌을 때 단수할 수 있으며, 외출 중에도 계량기를 제어할 수 있다"고 말했다.

페이스 워터 시스템은 산타 로사 카운티의 고객 1만8천명에게 서비스를 제공하며, 2016년에 설치된 기존 뮬러 AMI(Advanced Metering Infrastructure)를 사용하고 있다. 새롭게 도입된 파일럿은 기존 계량 인프라에 모바일 애플리케이션을 적용하여 고객이 가정에 공급되는 물에 대한 통찰력을 높이고 더 잘 제어할 수 있도록 하는 통합작업이다.

이번 기기 통합은 뮬러의 Sentryx API(응용 프로그래밍 인터페이스)를 사용하여 기존 시스템을 드롭 카운트(Dropcountr)의 고객용 모바일 앱, 클라우드 기반 데이터 분석 및 수도 유틸리티용 고객 참여 애플리케이션과 통합한다. 옵트인한 고객은 시간당 물 사용량을 확인하고 휴대폰에서 물을 켜거나 끌 수 있습니다. 이 앱은 고객이 물 공급을 원격으로 제어할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다.

Mueller Deploys Smart Customer IoT Product in Santa Rosa County, Florida

Mueller Systems has been selected by Pace Water System in Santa Rosa County, Florida, to deploy a pilot program for their water meter system which includes new features that allow customers to control their meter from a mobile phone. The pilot program is underway and is expected to include 350 customers, with completion of the program at the end of this month.

Damon Boutwell, General Manager with Pace Water System said, “We are excited to give Pace residents the opportunity to leverage this state-of-the-art technology, by providing them with the same level of information that we see on our network. Participating residents can see their water usage so that they can better manage their consumption, shut off their water if a leak or pipe burst occurs, and even control their meters while they are away from home.”

Pace Water System provides service to 18,000 customers in Santa Rosa County. They own an existing Mueller AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) deployment that was installed in 2016. This pilot involves integrating the existing metering infrastructure with a customer facing mobile application to allow customers to have greater insight and control over the water supplied to their household.

The integration uses Mueller’s Sentryx API (Application Programming Interface) to integrate the existing system with a customer-facing mobile app from Dropcountr, a cloud-based data analytics and customer engagement application for water utilities. Customers who opt-in can see their hourly water usage and turn their water on or off from their phone. This app will give customers the ability to remotely control the water supply to their house.
