식품제조업체 Bakkavor는 영국 링컨셔(Lincolnshire)에 기반을 둔 Cucina Sano 사업장에서 폐수처리 및 물재이용시설을 설계·시공하는 업체로 퍠수처리전문기업 Aquabio를 선정했다. 현재는 시공에 들어간 상태로 10개월 내에 완공될 것으로 예상된다.

이 플랜트는 Aquabio의 ‘AMBR LE™’ 저에너지 멤브레인 생물반응조(MBR) 기술을 이용해 시설 내 재사용을 위한 고등급의 식수질을 생산하는 추가 처리를 포함할 예정이다.

 

 

 

Food manufacturer Bakkavor has appointed wastewater treatment specialist Aquabio to design and construct an effluent treatment and water recycling facility at its Cucina Sano business based in Lincolnshire, UK.

 

Construction has started and is expected to take 10 months. 

 

The plant will incorporate additional treatment to produce high grade potable water quality for reuse within the facility, using Aquabio's AMBR LE™ Low Energy Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology.

 

The forthcoming plant has already received a certificate of Environmental Benefit from Defra under the Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) Scheme for Water Efficient Technologies, within the category of “wastewater recovery and reuse systems”.

 

The ECA Scheme for Water Efficient Technologies is aimed at businesses which use energy efficiency, reduce water use or improve water quality.

 

Steve Goodwin, managing director of Aquabio said: "The new plant will recycle over 80% of treated effluent to potable water and thus significantly reduce both water consumption and wastewater discharge volumes.”
