| [수에즈] 아부다비와 담수화생산·전력생산 프로젝트 추진
신규 설치되는 13만6천800㎥/일 규모의 SWRO 해수담수화 설비를 포함한 Mirfa IWPP (Independent Water & Power Project) 프로젝트에 대하여 Suez사는 아부다비 수·전력 회사와 25년간의 물·전력 구입을 위한 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이와 관련 프로젝트의 20% 지분은 Suez 사가 보유하며 나머지 80% 지분은 아부다비 수전력국 (ADWEA) 소유로 되며 프로젝트의 투자비용은 15억 달러로 공사 진행예정이다.
이 프로젝트의 총 투자 비용은 신규설치의 해수담수화 및 1천MW 규모의 신규발전소 건설, 이외에 기존설치의 발전소 설비 및 기존 운영되고 있는 3만4천㎥/일 규모의 MSF 증발설비의 취득 등으로 사용된다. 신규설치의 담수화 플랜트의 EPC 업무는 데그레몽에서 수행하며 담수플랜트의 상업운전은 2016년 시작으로 예상되고 있다.

GdF Suez wins Abu Dhabi power and water deal
GdF Suez has signed a 25-year power and water purchase agreement with Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company for the Mirfa independent water and power project which includes a new 136,380 m3/d seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant.
GdF Suez will hold a 20% equity interest in the project with the remaining 80 percent to be held by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA).
The project will be built at a capital cost of US$1.5 billion and include the acquisition of existing power facilities and three existing 34,095 m3/d multi-stage flash distillation units, as well as the addition of 1,100 MW of new power production capacity and the new desalination facility.
Degremont will carry out the engineering, procurement and construction work for the desalination portion of the plant, with commercial operation expected to begin in 2016.
