[오만] 새 담수화 플랜트 시범시작

오만 Ghubra 지역에 위치한 하루 210ML 규모 새 담수화 플랜트가 시범운영을 시작했다.

오만 공공수전력청장 Mohammad Al Mahruqi는 “이번 새 Ghubra 담수화 플랜트는 물공급 부족 문제를 점진적으로 줄여나가고, 주요 급수저수지의 수위를 끌어올리는 데 기여할 뿐만 아니라 수압 향상에도 도움이 될 것”이라고 말했다. 이번 플랜트는 시범운영동안 약 5만㎥의 물을 생산할 예정이다.

Al Mahruqi는 새 Barka 담수화 플랜트 확장을 포함해 이번 Ghubra 플랜트가 2016년 초에는 상업운영에 들어갈 것으로 확신했다.

A new 210 Ml/d desalination plant in Ghubra, Oman has begun trial operations.

"The new Ghubra desalination plant will gradually reduce the problems of shortage of water supply, contribute in raising the water level at the main distribution reservoirs as well as improve water pressure and provide water to Muscat governorate," said the Public Authority for Electricity and Water chairman, Mohammad Al Mahruqi. The plant will produce around 50,000 m³ of water during its trial run.

Al Mahruqi assured that commercial operation of the Ghubra plant, including the new Barka desalination plant expansion, will begin by the start of 2016. The Ghubra plant will produce 62 Ml/d greatly contributing towards increasing water production for Muscat, South Al Batinah and Dakhiliya Wilayats.

Al Mahruqi said the Quraiyat desalination plant, currently under development, will produce 220 Ml/d. Construction is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of 2017.
