익명의 투자자가 카스피 해의 새 담수공장을 지원하는 카자흐스탄 정부에 의해 보호 받고 있다.

이번 프로젝트는 주가 소유한 석유가스기업인 KazMunayGas과 OzenMunayGaz의 합동으로 수행되며, 국가의 남서쪽인 카라키얀(Karakiyan)과 망기스타우(Mangistau) 지역에 들어설 예정이다.

카스피 해는 지구상 최대 규모의 내륙 물줄기이자 국가의 귀중한 수원으로 알려져 있다.

Kazakh government signals ambition to desalinate water from Caspian Sea

An unnamed investor has been secured by the Kazakh government to support a new desalination plant on the Caspian coast.

The one investor is the first of what will be three, said Nurbek Karassayev, head of industrial and innovative development in Mangistau region, which is where the plant is slated to be built.

The project is to be jointly implemented by the state-owned oil and gas companies KazMunayGas, and OzenMunayGaz, and will be located in Karakiyan, Mangistau, in the country's south west corner.

The Caspian Sea is the largest enclosed inland body of water on Earth by area, and is a valuable source of water for the country.
