[영국] BALMORAL, NSF 61 승인 위해 1천만 파운드 투자

스코틀랜드 회사인 발모랄 탱크스(Balmoral Tanks)는 사우스요크셔(South Yorkshire)에 있는 이용 설계 시설에 1천만 파운드를 투자하고 에폭시 코팅 및 콘크리트 탱크의 제조 공정을 업그레이드한다.

2017년 4분기에 문을 여는 새로운 시설은 에폭시 코팅 라인, 인라인 숏 블라스팅 유닛, 최신 레이저 커팅 기술 및 제조 시설을 갖출 예정이다.

발모랄 탱크스는 리안트리산트(Llantrisant), 사우스웨일스(South Wales), 반슬리(Barnsley), 사우스요크셔에서 설계 및 생산 운영을 맡고 있으며, 유럽, 북남미, 중동 지역의 주요 프로젝트 기간에 설치 작업을 하고 있다.

이 회사는 대다수의 제품이 ISO 9001, LPCB, FM Global, WRAS를 포함한 업계 표준에서 승인받았으며, 제조 시설은 AWWA 표준을 충족 할 만한 능력을 갖췄다. NSF 61과 같은 새로운 승인은 새로운 시설에 대한 투자의 결과로써 추구될 것이다.

현재 이 그룹에는 약 500명의 직원이 고용되어 있다.

BALMORAL TANKS TO PURSUE NSF 61 APPROVAL FOLLOWING £10M INVESTMENT

Scottish company Balmoral Tanks has invested £10 million into a purposed designed factory in South Yorkshire and an upgrade to its manufacturing processes for its range of epoxy coated and concrete tanks.

The new facility, due to open its doors in Q4 2017, will have a new epoxy coating line, in-line shot blasting unit, latest laser cutting technology and fabrication facilities.

The company has design and production operations in Llantrisant, South Wales, and Barnsley, South Yorkshire, and has installations on major projects spanning Europe, North and South America, the Middle and Far East.

Allan Joyce, managing director at Balmoral Tanks, said: “Having built up a strong balance sheet over the years we are in the enviable position of being able to invest in new technology. As an engineering company at our core, we have designed a plant and installed processes that will be at the very forefront of coated tank technology.”

The company said the vast majority of its products are accredited to industry standards including ISO 9001; LPCB; FM Global; and WRAS, while manufacturing facilities are capable of meeting AWWA standards. New approvals such as NSF 61 will be pursued as a result of the investment in the new facility.

The group now employs approximately 500 people.
