[미국] NJ 아메리칸 워터, 수도관 개선에 400만 달러 투자

뉴저지 아메리칸 워터(New Jersey American Water)는 록 아버(Loch Arbour), 애즈베리 파크(Asbury Park), 앨런허스트(Allenhurst)의 서비스 지역에서 새로운 수도관에 400만 달러를 투자할 계획이다. 약 1만1천 피트의 새 파이프가 1900년대에 설치된 수도관을 대체한다. 노후화된 수로는 연성 주철관으로 교체될 것이다.

이 프로젝트는 7월 31일에 시작됐으며 2018년 1월에 도로를 재포장하기로 예정된 뉴저지 교통부와 협조할 것이다.

NJ AMERICAN WATER INVESTING $4M FOR WATER MAIN UPGRADES

New Jersey American Water will be investing $4 million in new water mains in its service area of Loch Arbour, Asbury Park and Allenhurst. The approximate 11,000 feet of new pipe replaces water main that was installed as far back as the 1900s. The aging water lines will be replaced with ductile iron pipes.

 
"With the installation of the new water mains, our customers in this area should experience increased water flows for residences and fire protection, and continued improvement in reliability," Mark Fitzpatrick, New Jersey American Water Project Manager Engineer said in a press relesase. "These water main improvements are part of New Jersey American Water's multimillion dollar program to accelerate the renewal of water infrastructure that is reaching the end of its useful life."

The project began July 31 and is being coordinated with the New Jersey Department of Transportation, which has scheduled pavement resurfacing for January 2018.
