[프랑스] 수에즈, 센티넬 인수로 수처리 기술 강화

인수로 SUEZ의 분석 기기 포트폴리오 확장 … 미생물 모니터링을 위한 신규 및 기존 시장 기회 제공

수처리 전문 기업 수에즈 WTS(SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions)는 애리조나주 투손에 본사를 둔 미생물 모니터링 회사  센티넬 모니터링 시스템(entinel Monitoring Systems)을 인수했다고 지난 5일 밝혔다.

센티넬 모니터링 시스템은 초순수 및 제조 공정 내에서 미생물 제어의 효율성을 모니터링하기 위해 실시간 솔루션을 제공하는 제품을 개발하는 기업이다. 양사는 계약에 따라 거래 조건은 공개하지 않기로 했다.

센티넬 의 기술은 유해 박테리아, 바이러스 및 기타 오염 물질 등을 기존 방법보다 150배 더 빠르게 감지해 미생물 오염의 위험을 줄이고 제조업체의 다운타임 등을 단축시켜 작업에 대한 영향을 최소화하고 신속히 대응할 수 있도록 돕는다.

수에즈는 센티넬의 첨단 기술과 산업 지식을 바탕으로 분석기기 포트폴리오 강화 및 유기탄소, 전도도, 박테리아 내독소 테스트 등 바이오버든을 포함한 생명 과학 시장에서 생산성을 높이고 운영비용을 낮춘 수처리 테스트를 제공할 수 있을 전망이다.

SUEZ Water Technologies and Solutions Acquires Sentinel Monitoring Systems

Acquisition broadens SUEZ’s Analytical Instruments portfolio; provides new and existing market opportunities for microbial monitoring

Today, SUEZ - Water Technologies & Solutions completed the acquisition of Sentinel Monitoring Systems, a real-time microbial monitoring company headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. Sentinel Monitoring Systems develops products that provide real-time and near-real-time solutions to monitor the effectiveness of microbial control within life sciences ultrapure water and manufacturing processes. Under this purchase agreement, SUEZ has acquired all of Sentinel Monitoring Systems’ business. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Microbial monitoring plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of patients from harmful bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants. Sentinel's technology can detect individual microorganisms 150x faster than conventional methods, reducing the risk of microbial contamination and allowing manufacturers to respond quickly to control risk and minimize impacts to downstream operations before irreversible damage is created. In addition, with Sentinel Monitoring Systems' advanced technology and industry knowledge, SUEZ will enhance its Analytical Instruments portfolio. As a result, SUEZ will become a leading supplier to offer the full range of compendial water testing methods to life science markets, including Total Organic Carbon, Conductivity, Bacterial Endotoxin Testing, and Bioburden, increasing productivity, lowering operating costs, and improving risk management.
