퍼스(Perth)시에 근거지를 둔 MAK Industrial Water Systems 사는 최근 퀸스랜드(Queensland)에 위치한 수처리 및 재이용 솔루션 제공업체인 Clearmake 사를 금액은 밝히지 않은 채 인수하였다고 발표했다.

Clearmake 사는 산업 폐수와 응집된 우수를 상업, 산업적인 용도로 재활용할 수 있게 하는 수처리 및 재이용 시스템을 생산한다. 이 인수된 회사는 GLNG 프로젝트를 위해 최근 석탄층 가스 부문에서 산토스 사에 응축 재이용 시스템을 공급하는 사업을 진행해 왔다.

Perth based manufacturer, MAK Industrial Water Systems has acquired Queensland based water treatment manufacturer, Clearmake Water Treatment and Recycling Solutions for an undisclosed sum.

Clearmake manufactures water treatment and recycling systems that enable industrial wastewater and harvested storm water to be recycled for commercial and industrial applications. The acquired company has recently worked in the Coal Seam Gas sector, supplying condensate recycling systems to Santos for its GLNG project.

MAK Water said it has seen 50% year on year growth since 2009. Exports account for 15% of the private firm’s trade, with products exported to the offshore gas industry and clients based in Kazakhstan, Mongolia and the Pacific Islands, where MAK Water provides desalination services for the Nauru detention centre.

Andy Byk, CEO of MAK Water, said: “The Clearmake range of oily water separators enables customers to discharge trade waste to the sewer system. Clearmake also provides a range of spill detection and control systems for the petroleum and electrical distribution industries. Clearmake’s wash down recycling systems can also enable wastewater from vehicle and equipment wash down bays to be recycled.”
