홍수 완화 제어 시스템이 홍수 예보를 위한 미래 수력조건과 실시간 모의 실험을 제공하는 새로운 모듈 소프트웨어 패키지를 선택했다.

제공된 FloodWorks는 더 강력하고 효과적인 홍수 위험 요소 관리 도구로써 Flemish Environment Agency가 강 수위와 초기 경고, 홍수로 인한 최소 경제적 영향 등을 예측 할 수 있게 돕는다.

Flanders의 굳어진 표면적의 증가와 기후변화 가능성으로 인해 더 빈번하고 극심한 홍수가 발생 할 가능성이 있고, 많은 건설이 자연범람원에서 일어나면서 홍수 피해의 가능성이 증가하고 있다. 

FloodWorks는 관제실 운용과 세부 사항을 제공 하고, 수위, 침수, 속도, 하수처리시설 방류수, 해황등을 정확히 예보하기 위한 다양한 데이터 자료를 연결하기 위해 설계됐다.

 As part of its flood control and mitigation systems, the Flemish Environment Agency (VMM), Belgium, recently selected a new modular software package to provide real-time simulation and forecasting of future hydrological and hydraulic conditions. 

Provided by Innovyze, a global provider of business analytics software and technologies for smart wet infrastructure, FloodWorks serves as a powerful and effective flood risk management tool that will help VMM better predict river levels, issue early warnings and minimize the economic impact of flood events.

Because of the increase in hardened surface area in Flanders and the possible consequences of climate change, more frequent and more extreme floods may occur. Further, more construction is taking place in the natural flood plains, increasing the potential for damage from flooding. 

FloodWorks is designed for operational use in the control room and links varied live data sources with a wide range of models to provide detailed and accurate forecasts of water levels, flood depths, flows, velocities, water quality parameters, and sea states. When configured with the 1D/2D simulation engine in Innovyze's InfoWorks RS, it also provides flood forecasting for river systems, channels and flood plains.

Accordingly, the comprehensive modeling solution combines integrated rainfall-runoff, hydraulic, water quality, conveyance, dam breach, and logical control modules with real-time hydrological and meteorological time-series data to forecast water levels, flood depths and sea states for hours or days ahead.

The product's operational management user interface, FloodWorks Event Manager, combines ease-of-use with powerful capabilities for visualizing and reporting forecast results. When an event trigger threshold is reached, the FloodWorks Server issues an alert. This alert and its severity level are clearly shown on the map display in the FloodWorks Event Manager.

Alerts can be simultaneously issued by e-mail or SMS to ensure that the latest information is distributed to key personnel as quickly as possible. In addition, FloodWorks Web Publisher and Web Server components allow server output to be published in Web-compatible formats for instant access on either public or intranet websites.
