로스앤젤레스 서부 유역의 도시용수 지구는 4개의 위성 플랜트를 포함하는 Edward C Little Water Recycling Plant를 유지하고 운영하기 위해 United Water과 5년 계약 연장을 했다.
시설은 미국의 최대 물 재순환 활동이고 세계에서 유일하게 5개의 다른 등급의 재순환 수를 생산 할 수 있다. Edward C Little 시설은 산업과 다른 이용을 위해 40 MGD (150,000 m³/d)생산한다. 또한 플랜트는 12 MGD (45,000 m³/d)의 정화된 간접 식수를 생산한다.

LA district renews reuse plant contract with United Water
Los Angeles West Basin Municipal Water District has renewed its contract with United water for the next five years to operate and maintain the Edward C Little Water Recycling Plant including four satellite plants.
Together the facilities represent the largest water recycling activity in their category in the United States; they are also the only facilities in the world that can produce five different grades of recycled water.
"Recycling is a key element of our Water Reliability 2020 program, aimed at providing the Los Angeles coastal area with locally controlled, sustainable and reliable water resources," said Carol W Kwan, chairwoman of the West Basin Board of Directors. "Our partnership with United Water has allowed us to continue expanding our water recycling program and provided high-quality water to our communities."
The Edward C Little facility produces over 40 MGD (150,000 m³/d) for industrial and other uses. The plant produces approximately 12 MGD (45,000 m³/d) of highly purified indirect drinking water for use in a seawater intrusion barrier water that protects local groundwater and also augments groundwater supplies.
