미국 Aquatech는 캐나다 Alberta의 Hangingstone Expansion Project를 위해 Japna Canada Oil Sands(JACOS)에 증발기술을 제공하기 위한 계약을 체결했다고 발표했다.

수직 튜브 강하막 증발 기술은 JACOS 중유 생산 시설을 위한 오일 급수 공급을 위해 관류식 증기 발생기 취출의 95%를 재생하고 처리하는데 사용될 예정이다. Hangingstone 프로젝트는 JACOS와 Nexen Energy ULC, 자회사 CNOOC Limited의 합작 투자이다. 아스팔트 생산량은 매일 대략 2만 배럴로 예상된다고 밝혔다.

Aquatech of the USA has been awarded a contract to provide Japan Canada Oil Sands Ltd (JACOS) its evaporator technology for the Hangingstone Expansion Project in Alberta, Canada.

Vertical tube falling film evaporator technology will be used to treat and recover over 95% of the once-through steam generator blowdown to supply as boiler feedwater make-up for JACOS' heavy oil production facility. 
 
The Hangingstone Project, which is located approximately 50km southwest of Ft McMurray, Alberta, is a joint venture of JACOS and Nexen Energy ULC, a wholly owned subsidiary of CNOOC Limited. The bitumen production capacity during the initial stage will be approximately 20,000 barrels per day.

"The Alberta Oil Sands is a very important market to Aquatech - one in which we have invested a great amount of attention and resources. We are now seeing tremendous momentum in the SAGD market by listening carefully to the industry, understanding our clients' needs, and swiftly making adjustments to provide an optimal value proposition," said Matt Sonnenberg, regional sales manager, Western Canada.
