북미와 글로벌 배관 제품산업에 영향을 주는 법과 규제, 기술적인 문제에 관한 정보의 교환을 가능하게 하는 노력의 일환으로, 미국 배관엔지니어협회(ASPE)와 캐나다 표준협회(CSA Group)이 최근 MOU에 서명했다.

이 MOU는 배관 설계의 과학을 향상시키고자 결성된 유일한 국제조직인 ASPE의 전문지식과, 캐나다의 선구적인 표준개발 조직인 CSA 그룹의 전문성을 결합하고자 체결됐다.

이 MOU는 특히 CSA 그룹의 공통 이해관계 활용에 대한 정보 공유의 방법을 제공할 계획이다.

 

 

 

In an effort to facilitate the exchange of information regarding technical, legislative and regulatory matters affecting North American and global plumbing product industries, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

 

The MOU combines the expertise of ASPE, the only international organization dedicated to advancing the science of plumbing engineering, with the expertise of CSA Group, the leading standards development organization in Canada. Both groups recognize that the globalization of the plumbing industry has generated a need for collaboration among their members, and this MOU will provide methods for information sharing, particularly utilizing CSA Group's Communities of Interest (COI) site.

 

"ASPE is at the forefront of driving current and future needs in plumbing engineering, code development and standards in both North America and globally," said Todd Lumpkin, CSA Group global business unit director, appliances and gas. "We are excited to be working with ASPE toward advancements in the plumbing industry through information exchange, the development of technical articles and collaboration sites."

 

Utilizing the technical knowledge of ASPE's 6,000 members and CSA Group's global network, the two organizations will work together to improve the quality of plumbing system designs and help ensure that plumbing products are safer, more efficient and more affordable to benefit consumers internationally. The collaboration will also help ensure that plumbing product and system designs are uniformly implemented around the world through the development of consistent consensus standards.
