비개착건설기술 및 터널링 솔루션 제공업체인 SAK 건설회사가 볼티모어시 남서부 전역에 위치한 12곳의 거주 지역에 길이 11만5천ft, 너비 24인치의 현장경화관(CICC)을 설치하는 새로운 1천730만 달러 규모 계약의 작업을 시작했다.

이 프로젝트를 감독하는 대서양 파트 부장인 Bob Stier에 따르면 볼티모어의 새 파이프라인 설치로 인해 SAK는 529개의 맨홀을 갱생하고 2천100개 이상의 하우스 커넥션을 수리해야 한다.

 

 

 

SAK Construction, LLC, (SAK), a provider of trenchless technology and tunneling solutions, has begun work on a new $17.3-million contract to install 115,000 linear feet of 8-inch to 24-inch cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) in 12 residential neighborhoods throughout the southwestern section of the city of Baltimore, Md.

 

According to Bob Stier, general manager of Atlantic Division, the company overseeing the project, Baltimore's new installment also requires SAK to rehabilitate 529 manholes and repair more than 2,100 house connections, using excavation, grouting and CIPP methods. The assignment, part of a comprehensive plan to improve the city's wastewater system, is scheduled for completion in April 2016.

A logistical benefit is that SAK's 7.5-acre Atlantic Division office and campus is only one mile from the jobsite. Minority and women-owned subcontractors vetted by SAK will partner with it to execute over 30 percent of the project.

 

SAK is concurrently working on a separate $18.8-million wastewater rehabilitation project in the Union Square area of Baltimore, scheduled for completion in November 2015.
