펜실베니아 주지사 Tom Wolf는 펜실베니아 인프라투자당국(Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority, PENNVEST)을 통한 12개의 폐수 및 점오염원(non-point-source) 지역의 9천830만 달러 규모의 투자에 대해 발표했다. 9천8백30만 달러 중 9천80만 달러는 저금리 대출로, 나머지 750만 달러는 기금을 통해 조달하기로 했다.

펀딩은 유권자의 공인된 국가자금, 미국 환경보호청(EPA)의 PENNVEST에 대한 연방정부 보조금, 수여 받은 이전 기관자금의 대출상환 방식 등을 결합해 시행된다.

Today, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced the investment of $98.3 million for 12 wastewater and non-point-source projects across a dozen counties through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST).

Of the $98.3 million, $90.8 million is allocated for low-interest loans and $7.5 million is awarded through grants. The funding comes from a combination of state funds approved by voters, federal grants to PENNVEST from the Environmental Protection Agency and recycled loan repayments from previous Authority funding awards. Funds for the projects are disbursed after bills for work are paid and receipts are submitted to PENNVEST.

"The projects funded at today's meeting continue my administration's commitment to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for all Pennsylvanians while simultaneously encouraging job growth in the Commonwealth," said Wolf. "Efforts such as these are what we need to now in the future to secure the economic and natural wellbeing of the commonwealth."
